非定常流れ向けの圧力-速度連成法。2段階の圧力補正。SIMPLEの改良版。
流体解析における役割
CFD（数値流体力学）において、PISO法は流体現象の予測・評価に関連する。Navier-Stokes方程式の離散化と求解が基本となる。
$$ \frac{\partial \mathbf{u}}{\partial t} + (\mathbf{u} \cdot \nabla)\mathbf{u} = -\frac{1}{\rho}\nabla p + \nu \nabla^2 \mathbf{u} $$
